Starting a development project is a little bit like making a new year's resolution. We started off with the intention
of being neat and tidy. The chassis seemed big enough to accommodate all the boards with space lef over. Then we
decided to add an input band pass filter, a CW filter, and other bits and bobs. Like topsy it grew and our committment
to being neat and tidy got lost somewhere on the way. Still, it works. No we are not going to provide detailed
workshop drawings for the prototype. We thought about enlisting the help of Salvador Dali to draft them but, alas,
he is no longer with us.
Firstly a view of our beautiful chassis (53 KB) for the receiver. As we have not commissioned the TX side yet there are no pictures of it.
Secondly we have a picture of the Dual DDS VFO (51KB).
Lastly we have the front panel, (43KB) note the add on CW filter and the elegant way Jan has mounted it on top of the loudspeaker. Also that the QRP2000 has been passed as Year 2000 compliant.
We have purchased, for the astronomic sum of 3 UKP, an ex Channel 4 19 inch rack mount chassis for our "Show and Tell" production model.
Jan used an Olympus 820L camera to take the pictures. The resolution is 640 by 480.
